Time to get planning!

Ready… Set… Pack!

I can’t tell you how many times over the years I’ve struggled to find the perfect bags and packing accessories. Being organized when you are in the middle of chaos at the airport, train station, or just in a tight car with the kids can make your entire experience much less frustrating if you plan ahead! I’ve gone through quite a few different suitcases and backpacks over my years of travel and I’ve discovered which features and designs matter the most to me. Here are a few of the products that I’m currently using and some suggestions I have when you’re picking them out for yourself.

Travel Kit for Toiletries & Makeup

Dakine Daybreak Travel Kit Large

Dakine is my favorite brand for travel gear. They are rugged, stylish, and affordable. Plus, they are literally made for all terrain. If you want the most bang for your buck, Dakine is the way to go.

Packing Organization

Packing Cubes

Need organization in your bags? Packing cubes are the handiest things to have! There are hundreds of colors and sizes available, but lets face it…no one is going to see whats inside your suitcase except YOU (and maybe TSA), so spending extra money on the fancy colors and patterns doesn’t make sense to me. I use the Amazon basics and they work great while saving money! Plus, they keep your bag nice and organized!

Toiletry Bag

Hanging Toiletry Bag

My biggest requirements for a toiletry bag are that it’s waterproof and that it has a hook to hang it from. You never know when your shampoo bottle might decide to leak everywhere. And depending on where you’re staying, you might not have enough counter space for it to sit on. So hang it from the hook!

Laptop Backpack

Dakine Method Backpack Dlx 28L

For travel purposes, this backpack is a BEAST. It easily holds my 15in. Macbook Pro, plenty of room for notebooks, binders, and an extra set of clothes, and the three front pockets make organizing accessories and electronics a breeze. There’s also an integrated water bottle pocket on each side, an adjustable sternum strap for when you are lugging around all your camera gear, and it’s water resistant. For the money, it’s by far the best travel backpack I’ve found for creators.

Luggage

Coolife Luggage 3 Piece Set

Need something budget-friendly that will get the job done? This is it! You don’t need Louie Vuitton luggage to travel abroad and feel like a million bucks… your luggage also doesn’t need to cost a million bucks. My biggest concern with luggage is that its sturdy, hardshell, and expandable. Any luggage that gets the job done is good in my book, and Coolife also comes with a reasonable price tag.
